She has acted in multiple landmark matters before the Supreme Court, High Courts, NCLT, NCLAT, and international arbitration forums.
Sreenita is a distinguished legal professional with over 10 years of comprehensive experience spanning civil, commercial, and criminal law. She holds a B.A.LL.B. degree from Karnataka University and has been enrolled with the Bar Council of West Bengal since 2015. Demonstrating her commitment to professional excellence.
Sreenita possesses extensive expertise across a diverse spectrum of legal domains, having successfully represented clients in high-stake matters involving commercial disputes, real estate and infrastructure projects, mining law, and commodity trading disputes. Her practice encompasses sophisticated areas including banking laws, inheritance and trust matters, insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings, shipping and admiralty matters, as well as mergers and acquisitions. She has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in conducting international arbitrations and managing complex international transactions. Her specialized knowledge extends to environmental law, including matters before the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), disputes arising from environmental clearances, and land acquisition proceedings. Additionally, she has cultivated substantial experience in indirect taxation matters, particularly GST, as well as income tax litigation, establishing herself as a well-rounded practitioner capable of addressing multifaceted legal challenges across various regulatory frameworks.
Sreenita’s professional journey reflects a progressive trajectory across prestigious law firms and organizations. She commenced her practice at Bose & Mitra, Kolkata, where she extensively dealt with admiralty matters and gained invaluable experience in international arbitrations conducted under the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA) rules, in addition to domestic arbitration proceedings and civil litigation. Subsequently, she relocated to New Delhi and joined RRG & Associates, where she handled a comprehensive array of matters pertaining to company law, insolvency and bankruptcy, environmental law, and electricity regulations. She later assumed the role of Associate Partner at Sharma & Sharma, Advocates & Consultants, New Delhi, where she led the Dispute Resolution Team from the firm’s inception in 2017. Currently, she practices with SG LAW OFFICE, continuing to deliver exceptional legal services to her clients.
Sreenita has earned significant professional recognition through her empanelment as counsel for the State of Jharkhand and her membership with the Hon’ble National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), Delhi, and the Hon’ble National Company Law Tribunal, Kolkata. Her extensive litigation experience encompasses appearances before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, various High Courts across the country, and numerous specialized forums and tribunals. She has represented clients before the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), the London Maritime Arbitrators Association, multiple benches of the National Company Law Tribunal, the Hon’ble National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), and the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL). Her practice extends to district courts and tribunals across various states, the National Green Tribunal, Delhi (NGT), the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC), and Real Estate Regulatory Authorities (RERA) in multiple states, thereby establishing her as a versatile advocate with pan-India experience across diverse judicial and quasi-judicial fora.
